DVC Art Show 2023
Blue Hills Regional is delighted to hold its 2023 Design and Visual Communications Art Show.
This event will feature the work of the DVC graduating seniors and alumni of the DVC Program.
The students will present work in mediums of Photography, Video, Animation, Graphic Design, Illustration and Fine Art.
The Art Show is open to the public and held in the Blue Hills Cafeteria on Wednesday, May 24th from 5:30 to 8:00 pm.

Blue Hills Regional Technical School Welcomes Newly Appointed School to Careers Coordinator
Superintendent Jill Rossetti is pleased to share that Jonathan Pryor has been chosen as the new School to Careers Coordinator for Blue Hills Regional Technical School.
Pryor, a Northborough resident, started his role on Jan. 30. In this role, Pryor will be responsible for fostering collaboration between businesses, school systems, and respective organizations to prepare students for a highly skilled workforce by coordinating work-based learning activities and post-secondary career opportunities that help students learn the skills necessary to be successful in the workplace.
"We are pleased to welcome Jonathan into his new role as Blue Hills' School to Careers Coordinator," said Superintendent Rossetti. "I am confident he brings the necessary background and skill set to excel in this position, and I look forward to watching him continue to grow and expand upon our program's opportunities."

Blue Hills Regional Non-Traditional Vocational Students Network at Girls in Trades Conference
Superintendent Jill Rossetti is pleased to announce that several Blue Hills Regional Technical School non-traditional students had the opportunity to attend a recent Girls in Trades Conference.
On Wednesday, Nov. 9, 30 non-traditional vocational students attended the annual Girls in Trades Conference at Local 103 in Dorchester hosted by Massachusetts Girls in Trades.
As part of the conference, female students who are in a career and technical education (CTE) program in a field that is considered “non-traditional” for their gender were able to meet and network with other women in businesses and various unions to discuss working in trades.
“Our students were so energized after leaving the conference,” said Non-Traditional Co-Advisor and Co-op Coordinator Kim Poliseno. “The girls talked about ways to promote more students choosing a non-traditional shop after exploratory.”

Blue Hills Regional Technical School Hosts Successful 'Reverse' Career Fair
Superintendent Jill Rossetti and Vocational Director Michelle Sylvia are pleased to announce that Blue Hills Regional Technical School hosted a successful “reverse” career fair last week for its students.
The “reverse” career fair was held on Monday, Oct. 17 during regular school hours. Over 100 people from approximately 60 companies visited the school to attend this unique career fair which was a concept imagined by Co-op Coordinator Kimberly Poliseno.
Poliseno came up with this idea after she noticed that during a traditional career fair, students weren’t visiting tables aligned to their skills thus potentially missing out on opportunities. For example, some students might not have approached a healthcare company believing it was only for students in healthcare-related fields not realizing that the company could also have open positions in their Integrated Technology or Facilities department for which they are eligible.
